The 2009 ANNUAL BLACK AND ORANGE ALUMNI MEET will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 9AM at the OJH Pool.  Please see the link to the left for more details.  Hope to see all of our alumni there (past boys AND girls swimmers and divers are welcome)!

We had a fantastic turnout for our 2008 ANNUAL BLACK AND ORANGE ALUMNI MEET.

Alumni in attendance included:  Captain Jeff Joseph '79, Michael Britton, Mark Vander Ploeg, John Bolduc '83, Kyle Tonn, Shilo Parisian '05, Captain David Kreft '07, Captain Joey Moravec '08, Jason Parmenter '08, Robb Stemm '08, Cameron Nelson '08, Nick Brezina '08, Shelby Parisian '09, Sara Huffman '09, and former coach Scott Parr.

Alumni from PC included:  Lauren Stork '05, Bjorn Johnson, Brian Gangl '07, Emily Olson, Captain Jared Bryan '08, Captain Marshall Abrahamson '98, and Coaches Jessica Stevenson '96 and Robin Thorsen '91.

Highlights Included:

Alumni David Kreft led a team stretch and performed breakdancing moves to get the Alumni pumped up before the meet.

Alumni David Kreft annihilated the competition in the 50 breaststroke.
Alumni Joey Moravec participated in EVERY EVENT, including diving.
Current Athletes Lyle, Elly, Heidi, and Nolan Vander Ploeg featured a Vander Ploeg Relay.

Laura Vander Ploeg took lots of photos and I will try to get those posted soon.

Alumni Robb Stemm swam a birthday swim as it was his birthday that day!

ONCE AGAIN, THE ALUMNI PROVED UNBEATABLE.

The BREAKFAST following the meet at Perkins on 81 was well attended and a good time was had by all!

Osseo Senior High was the first school to open in District 279. The original school building opened in 1924. The school was designated a high school in 1952.  Osseo Junior High was built in 1966 and the Osseo Junior High Pool was opened in 1967.

We had a great turnout for our 2007 ANNUAL BLACK AND ORANGE ALUMNI MEET.  Notably missing were: Scott Parr, Dave and Marshall Abrahamson, and Trevor Klein.

Alumni in attendance included:  David Kreft '07, Jeff Joseph, Rick Haley, Peter Leisen, Joe Warthen, Jake Reichert, Vu Ngo '06, David Weum, Joe Matzke, Kyle Tonn, Mark Vander Ploeg, Nick Brezina '08, Jessica Doar '08, and Katie Rosengren '08.

A few highlights:

Alumni dad Jeff Joseph proved he still rules the pool by touching out his son James in the butterfly.
Alumni David Kreft touched out alumni Vu Ngo in the breaststroke and both beat the current athletes.  Dave also came in first in the 100 IM and proved he still has what it takes. 
Alumni Rick Haley, Kyle Tonn, and ? put in a good showing in the 200 freestyle. 
Nick Brezina still knows how to flip, twist, and turn for spectacular dives. There is great video footage of that last dive!   (Anyone interested in video footage of the meet can contact Dennis Brezina for that.)
Alumni Jessica Doar gave all the fellas a run for their money in several events.
Current athlete Joey Moravec participated in EVERY EVENT, including diving!
Also worthy of note, awards were presented to all those past and present athletes who helped make our swim-a-thon fundraiser successful this past summer.
